The tuning scene over in the States has been quick to adopt Ford’s Focus and Fiesta models as blank canvases for modification. Perhaps it’s been the influence of Ken Block or it could be because Ford has really lifted its game over the past decade.
The upcoming SEMA show in Las Vegas is one of the largest tuning shows in the world and this year a whole pack of modified Focus and Fiesta models will be on display. Ford is using the aftermarket show to give car enthusiasts a taste of just how customizable both vehicles can be. Famous tuning companies like Roush, Cobb Tuning and Gold Coast Automotive will be taking Ford hatchbacks.
Roush is following a familiar tuning style and strapping a R900 TVS Supercharger on top of the four-cylinder engine in the Focus for a substantial leap in power. The blown engine will be hooked up to a full Roush exhaust to ensure that it breathes easy.
